The Richard and Elizabeth Kasper Seminary Fund (Kasper Seminary Fund) provides scholarship assistance to students who are followers of Jesus Christ and who wish to obtain a seminary degree with the goal of going into full-time Christian ministry/service.
The Kasper Seminary Fund consists of a Board of Directors and a Scholarship Committee. Applications are reviewed by all members of the team, and the process includes a review of the application, contacting references, interviewing candidate, and consideration of financial need.
The Kasper Seminary Fund is open to anyone meeting the following application criteria:
- Subscribe to the Kasper Seminary Fund Statement of Faith and be actively involved in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Have completed a university education and have been accepted at a theological seminary or equivalent graduate institution which subscribes to a statement of faith substantially similar to that of the Kasper Seminary Fund.
- Be engaged in an educational course preparing to enter full-time Christian ministry upon graduation or completion of the course of study.
- The Committee shall require students applying for scholarships to submit an Application which includes among other things:
- Information and acknowledgment establishing that the above items are true.
- A statement of faith written by the applicant outlining his/her fundamental theological positions.
- A declaration that the applicant is in need of financial assistance.
- A detailed financial statement. Financial Form
- Two references.
- An interview with the Scholarship Committee prior to acceptance.
- Scholarships are awarded on a term-by-term basis. You will be asked to submit a Funding Request form prior to each term listing courses and number of credits for that term.
- Scholarships are awarded as a percentage of the tuition cost and generally do not cover books, housing or cost of living expenses. Payment is made directly to the seminary. Please provide the seminary address and student ID number.
Application Process:

- Applications may be submitted at any time.
- Upon receipt of all application documents, you will be contacted to set up an interview which may be in person or virtual.
- References: Please provide two references, one personal and professional. This may include a seminary faculty member, mentor and/or ministry leader.
- The full application process is one time only. For subsequent scholarship requests you will be asked to fill out a Funding Request
- Twice a year you will be asked to update your financial and academic status. If you drop a class or terminate your course of study, and receive credit from the seminary, you may be asked to refund the Kasper Seminary Fund for that period.
- We ask that you respond to Questions for On-Going Requests twice a year. Our team is committed to keeping you in prayer and walking alongside through your journey, so we appreciate hearing about your experience and needs.
